For all the BMW guys on here if you have not already heard. Here is ECS Tuning’s statement regarding the acquisition:

Wadsworth, Ohio, July 6, 2015 – ECS Tuning, LLC (“ECS”), a leading global engineering and ecommerce retailer of European automotive performance parts and accessories, announced today the acquisition of Turner Motorsport LLC (“Turner Motorsport”), an industry leading ecommerce retailer for BMW performance parts and accessories.

ECS is one of the web’s most popular destinations for European car enthusiasts ( !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ). The company is distinguished by its highly engineered proprietary products and ever-expanding parts catalog featuring more than 1.4 million SKUs for BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Mini, Porsche and Volkswagen. The addition of Turner Motorsport will make ECS a premier destination for BMW parts online and will enable both companies to offer a broader selection of high quality engineered solutions and enhancements for the BMW marketplace.

“Turner Motorsport has always been dedicated to providing customers with the highest quality performance parts and accessories for BMWs,” said Will Turner, founder of Turner Motorsport. “I have a lot of ideas for new products and I’m excited that as part of the ECS family, we can bring those to life more quickly and offer an even broader selection of products to BMW owners, enthusiasts and racers.” Turner confirmed that the Turner Motorsport Racing team will remain unchanged, with ECS and Turner Motorsport continuing as primary sponsors.

Turner founded Turner Motorsport in 1993 to provide enthusiasts with high performance products and accessories for their BMW. With its focus on customer service, leading performance products, and in-house R&D, the company has developed a noteworthy reputation in the marketplace for high quality products, many of which are featured on the championship-winning Turner Motorsport Racing team vehicles. Will Turner will remain with the company as president of the Turner Motorsport Division.

“ECS is thrilled to partner with Will Turner,” said Tom Demrovsky, co-CEO of ECS. “Will shares our passion for European cars and Turner Motorsport is an excellent addition to the ECS family that allows us to better serve our customers. In addition, we look forward to leveraging our combined R&D efforts to introduce more industry-leading products across all of our vehicle makes.”

“Will is widely respected in the BMW enthusiast and racing circles, and we’re excited that he’ll be part of the combined ECS and Turner Motorsport team. We also look forward to welcoming the additional expertise of the broader Turner Motorsport team to the ECS family,” added Brian Demrovsky, co-CEO of ECS.

Based in Wadsworth, Ohio, ECS is owned by Bertram Capital, the company founders, and management.

Hoping this turns out well.

Me too, I've enjoyed buying parts from Turner and only dealt with ECS once or twice. Curious to see how this changes things.

I think this is a good thing. I like shopping from both, and Ecs has some very good prices. So I'm happy,

i have never had a problem with ECS, and i order weird parts for unpopular (not rare, just shitty and unpopular) cars frequently. shipping is always ahead of schedule... idk why people are upset, for me it has always seemed to have operated smoothly considering it’s size

Most are worried about what will happen to the excellent parts Turner Motorsport makes.

I use ECS frequently and love everything about them. Hate to see Turner slowly melt away into the ECS brand.

I love ECS because they have so many of the odd OEM parts no one else carries, like CSL headers and kingpins.

Yeah at the end of this month I was going to purchase Turner’s chassis/subframe reinforcements, Turner sway bars, and Koni adjustables from them and then take my car up to them to get installed once I figure out what springs I want to run.(and save up for the Turner street camber plates)

i don’t think ECS would financially benefit from diminishing the bmw performance parts market, and i don’t think they’d have reason to drastically change turner’s focus as a business... The people of turner motorsport will probably continue to do what we love them for, and if ECS having a monopoly on the bmw parts market means that turner gets more funding to make more cool shit, then i’m fine with that.

that probably doesn’t make any sense, i had a long night of drinking beer and pulling my first engine out of a v8 bmw ahahaha, speak of the devil. tiring stuff

I highly recommend some eibach springs, matched with the koni’s the ride is great. Better handling than stock while managing to be a little more forgiving.

Hmm...I’ll have to think about those, as of right now I am leaning heavily towards Dinan springs as most of M3forum.net is in agreement that Konis+Dinan springs are the best riding/ best performance bang-for-your-buck.

Can't go wrong with Dinan springs.. Not sure if you'd be interested in going with coilovers, but best ride/performance I've experienced in an E46 M3 was KW street comfort coilovers.. You can get them for about $1000 through forum vendors. But Dinan+Koni is a great set up too.

Haven’t used turner or ECS. Both seem really pricey and far away from me. I’ve had luck with fcpeuro they carry most oem parts I need. The only downside is their aftermarket abs sensor went bupkis after 20 miles.

I like ECS! They had transmission parts I couldn’t find anywhere else. Never ordered from Turner, but I don’t think ECS will ruin anything.
